First Teachers Day was celebrated on 5 September 1962. It is celebrated every year to commemorate the importance of teachers in our lives. It is observed to honor and acknowledge the efforts made by teachers to make our lives better. Teachers' day is celebrated on different days in different countries, 5th October is the day of world Teachers Day.
Why Do We Celebrate:
Teacher's Day is celebrated every year, in India to commemorate Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary. He was born in 1888 in a poor Brahmin family in Andhra Pradesh's Tiruttani. He was the former president, a great teacher, philosopher, and an educationist.
Teachers Day Idea:
The idea of celebrating Teachers' Day took root in many countries during the 19th century; in most cases, they celebrate a local educator or an important milestone in education. The fact is that Islam has given much importance and respect to teachers. The Prophet Mohammad pbuh is the best and perfect teacher of the whole world. This is the primary reason why countries celebrate this day on different dates, unlike many other International Days.
